Wow! I have definitely neglected my blog! I guess I've been side tracked since loosing Daddy.
I actually found these pictures saved as a draft minus the text. All I can say now is WOW, WOW, WOW, my girl was sick! I knew that, but it's really evident as I compare what she looks like today to these pictures here.
Hailey's resection surgery took place on July 19, 2010.
Fast asleep, feeling no pain, and actually with a smile on her face. I promise, she was minus the smile prior to the drugs kicking in. She was scared!
Two days later as she recovers...smiling again!
Up and out of bed for the first time post surgery. I am trying to remember if I forced her to smile or if she was just happy to be up and to know surgery was behind her.
She was very proud of these flowers from Uncle Greg and Aunt Yvonne. They were actually hand delivered by Greg and we were excited to have a visitor.
But, she was even more excited about the candy bouquet from her Daddy. She was glad to see him walk through the door and very sad to see him leave. It's really emotional for me to look at these pictures. Feels like salt on an open wound. This was a difficult time for our entire family and I praise God for getting us to where we are today.Hailey is happy, healthy and your typical teenager. Thank goodness!
