First Day of School

August 24, 2009 was our first day of school. I wish my girls the best of luck during their first full year at Montgomery ISD.

Hailey started 6th grade and transitioned out of Intermediate School to Middle School. She does not have many classes with her closest friends, but they do have the same lunch period together which will be fun. She chose band as her elective and was selected to play saxophone. She is very excited about this new adventure and also hopes to play girls softball.

Kelly started Kindergarten. It's hard to believe the baby in the family is growing so fast. She was very excited and didn't miss a beat... no fear to speak of. She has met a few friends and says she likes riding the bus. Her teacher is Ms. Colter and Kelly says she is pretty and nice. Kelly has learned to tie her shoes and wants to learn to read this year.

Mrs. Herzog's 2nd Grade class welcomes Brooke! Brooke says Mrs. Herzog (who happens to be married to my second cousin... imagine that) is the nicest teacher ever. Brooke has also made some new friends and says she wants to learn about multiplication.

Hailey, Brooke and Kelly... I hope you have a great school year!

Last Days of Summer

The girls are spending their last days of summer with their youngest girl cousin Addy. Chad, Nichole and Addy are down from Canyon visiting. We can't get enough of Addy... she is so sweet and so cute!

Like Mother Like Daughter

Like Mother, Like Daughter...
Need I say More??

Add Video

Hailey and I spent some much needed Mom and Daughter time today in the kitchen baking homemade chocolate chip cookies. This truly was a special occasion since we normally make the slice and bake variety. Hailey has really become interested in cooking so she actually did all the work with a little Mom supervision. They looked pretty and were delicious!

Something New

Kelly learns something new...
she learned to tie her shoes!

Pet Update

Our kittens are growing fast...Little Bit, Tiger and Puma and all starting to look like cats, not kittens. Regardless of their size the girls have all fallen in love with their pets, especially Brooke. Her favorite is Puma. She would hold him all day if I would let her. I have to remind her on a regular basis that he needs to stretch, eat, drink and...potty!

I'd like for you to meet...

My nephews - Aaron (left) and Caleb (right).

These boys, along with my sister Cheryl and her husband Greg, moved to Montgomery this year also. We are happy to have them close by and thrilled that we get to see them on a regular basis. All the kids survived changing schools during the last school year and are ready for their first full year at MISD. Good luck kiddos!
