Father's Day 2009

Happy Father's Day to all the men who have been blessed with children!

The girls woke Steve up this morning by saying "Happy Father's Day Daddy"! We slept in, but still made it to church for the 11:30 AM service, which was our original plan. Steve got up and met the girls in the living room to open his gifts. He got a chocolate bar and 5 DVDs... Rocky, John Q, Shawshank Redemption, Monster's Ball and We Are Marshall (WalMart was running a special - 5 movies for $20 - can't beat it).

We went to church and once again were blown away! Each and every week the sermon is out of this world! A little background - we knew we wanted to find a church in Montgomery, not Conroe so that the girls would hopefully build relationships at church with kids from school. There were two churhes in Montgomery we wanted to visit. We started first with a non-denominational church - http://www.lonestarcowboychurch.org/. We were so impressed with Pastor Randy after our very first visit that we never made it to the second church on our list. At this point, I don't see us leaving this congregation anytime soon. Not all preachers can deliver a good meaningful message, but Pastor Randy can! He sucks you in and keeps you coming back for more. Sorry for the long side note here.

After church we went to The Woodlands for lunch. We enjoyed Steve's Christmas gift from Elaine (restaurant gift card - thank you Elaine)! From there we went to The Palmer Golf Course where Steve works to take a look around. We got two golf carts and went for a long, hot ride. Regardless of the heat, the girls enjoyed seeing where Daddy goes to work each day.

We finished our day with dessert at home... key lime cheese cake. Yummy!!

Steve - thanks for being such a good father to Hailey, Brooke and Kelly! They love you and appreciate you very much!
