October 2009

October 2009 - was a month full of fun events. We started our Halloween weekend on October 30th by attending West Fest at our church. It was lots of fun...trunk or treating, games, bounce houses, rock climbing, food, a Christian band and lots more. We finished on Halloween night at Becky's with a hot dog cookout, hayride and trick or treating. After these two nights we have way more candy than we need. I'd like to introduce to you my sweet and sassy scarecrow, 1/2 angel 1/2 devil (actually a little more angel than devil) and the wonderful witch. All very cute... if you ask me.

Earlier in the month we attended Jackie Smith's wedding. She is a long time family friend; her Dad worked with my Dad and I graduated with her brother. It was a fun Catholic wedding... a marathon so to speak. This was Brooke and Kelly's first wedding and they were very excited. They did well during the 1 hour church ceremony, thanks to my cousin, Carol, who patiently explained every little thing to the girls. From there we headed over to the reception for food, fellowship and a dance. Catholic weddings can be very casual; however, the girls went in their Sunday best. See...

October was loads of fun! We look forward to field trips and Thanksgiving in November.
